Volunteer Spotlight!

Prospective Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Project Mercy. We have small and large groups volunteering their help for a week, a month, and sometimes for a year. There are a few steps that will help us to know you better and for you to know us better before making your decision. Project Mercy has a Volunteer Guidebook that provides valuable information about travel, expense estimates, local climate, and other useful topics. It is highly recommended that all prospective volunteers review it.

Once you have decided that you would like to apply to become a volunteer, fill out the Project Mercy Volunteer Application Form and email it pminfo@projectmercy.org. You will be contacted once the application is received and within 30 days with an answer. Project Mercy realizes that it is through the giving heart of volunteers that much has been accomplished in Ethiopia.

Once you have been approved to volunteer, a Project Mercy staff person will notify you and the preparation process will begin. Our staff person will help you throughout the whole process. This can take up to two months from the date of being approved depending upon if this would be the first time going overseas.
